Created Order · Draft — pending legal review
Privacy & Your Reflections
Plain language about what this site stores, what stays on your device, and when anyone at Created Order can see what you write.
The short version
- Reflections are private by default. No one at Created Order can read a reflection unless you explicitly choose “Share with Created Order” and confirm the consent notice. Choosing nothing keeps it private.
- Without an account, your reflection lives on your device (browser storage). We never see it. You can delete it there at any time.
- With an account, reflections are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM at the application layer, on encrypted infrastructure) and are visible only to you. Administrators see, at most, that a reflection exists and its dates — never its content.
- Sharing is revocable. “Stop sharing” in your account ends care-team access immediately. Every time an authorized team member opens a shared reflection, that access is logged.
- We don’t send your reflection text to analytics, ad networks, or session-replay tools. There are none of those on these pages.
- Your data is yours. Download everything or delete individual reflections — or your whole account — from the account page. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
What we collect
Accounts: email address, a password hash (never the password), optional first name, and your communication preferences. Reflections: what you write in the tool, stored encrypted. Care sharing: when you share, we record what you consented to, the exact wording shown, and when — and your contact preference if you request follow-up.
What we don't do
No selling of data. No advertising. No reading private reflections — including by administrators; the database stores them encrypted, and the care portal only ever displays reflections with an active, unrevoked share. Newsletter consent is never inferred from using the tool.
Emails you request (a copy of your reflection, password resets) go only to your address. Sensitive content never appears in subject lines. Care-team notifications tell the team a reflection was shared — the content itself stays inside the authenticated portal.
AI and Scripture
Scripture shown in the tool comes from a curated passage set on this site — AI never writes or recalls Bible text. Two steps use AI assistance (selecting which curated passages bear on what you wrote, and offering optional drafts of your "fuller truth" statement): for those, the relevant reflection text is processed transiently by Cloudflare Workers AI on this site's own hosting infrastructure — it is not sent to any separate AI company, is not stored by the model, and is not used for training. AI output is advisory only, clearly labeled, and never required to complete a reflection; if it is unavailable, the tool falls back to non-AI matching.
This is not…
The reflection tool is not an emotion tracker, not a diagnostic instrument, not counseling, and not a replacement for your pastor, counselor, or physician. If you are in danger, call 911 — or 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) if you are considering harming yourself.
